Our Inspirations
Our inspiration and motive is our love for Chikki. Chikki is a house hold staple in Indian sub-continent from Afghanistan to Burma. In India, it’s called as Chikki, Kadale mitai, layiya Patti, Gajak and Gur badam.

Hanbal Chikki started with inspiration from Nature, floral fauna and Spice rich Western Ghats, Health & wellness habits of our family and Ancestors. The Inspiration will come from day to day minor- small things, if you consider them with passion.

Inspiration for Chikki: Inspiration for Chikki preparation is our love for Kadale mitai. In our home, it was a regular member. While I was a child, every time I go to our village shop, chikki was mandatory item in the shopping list. Chikki is the favorite snacks and sweet for me and my brother. This nostalgia feeling made us to think of creative chikkis.

Inspiration for fruits varieties: My mom is an expert in preparing Jam & syrups from various fruits, which lasts for years without reducing its quality. The tasty homemade jams & syrups from my mom are Mango, Jackfruit, Amla, Kokum, banana, pineapple etc. This experience of mom on homemade Jams and Syrups are the inspiration and confidence to try different fruit varieties.

Inspiration for Healthy Chikkis: My father is a Yoga teacher. His life style is really inspiration for lot of innovative ideas. At the age of 70, he is perfectly active, no BP- no sugar. He performs yoga everyday and avoid taking medicines for common issues. He uses herbal and homemade compositions, which can be generally used for wellness as per Ayurveda and Yoga. The day to day useful herbs and spices are Black Pepper, Jeera, Methi, Tulsi, Ginger, Ajwain, fennel seed, Coriander seed etc. I took inspiration from my dad to introduce these healthy varieties.

Inspiration for Spice varieties: Western Ghat is a heart of Spices. The native spices are Black Pepper, Green Cardamom, Clove etc. The aroma and health benefits of these spices are the inspiration for developing these chikki varieties.
Inspiration from Customer and friends: Customer and Friends are the real inspirations to develop new varieties, modify existing taste & improve quality. Me and my wife decided to spend time in our factory counter to discuss with customer on varieties of Chikki. We offer our new Chikkis to taste in our Tasting Counter. The feedback from customer and friends made us better every day. Customers & friends are our really inspiration to develop and keep developing new products.
